We recently hooked up with HeyReverb.com and some other cool folks from Colorado to throw a CMJ party in the Lower East Side. Since we’re big lazies right about now we’ll just hand the press release over as received.
Note: Where it says “out-of-towners” they mean from Brooklyn and when they say “locals” they mean Colorado. A bit of a mind-stretch sure, but you’re smart folks and we’re confident you’ll figure it out.

REVERB PARTY @ CMJ 2011
Saturday, October 22
Fontana’s Bar, 105 Eldridge Street, New York, NY
11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
With performances by:
GAUNTLET HAIR (Denver)
HANDS (Los Angeles)
We like to throw parties. From our monthly Steal This Track dance parties to our semi-regular Fermented Barley Cabarets, we take the art of the party very seriously. And the one we have cooked up for this year’s CMJ Music Marathon — the SXSW of New York — may be our best party yet.
It’s a representative sample of progressive independent music that we find appealing at this point in time. In keeping with the expanded mission of this site, the lineup offers a mix of Colorado locals and some talented out-of-towners. We’ll tell you more about the event and the featured artists in the weeks to come, but alas, this is your official invitation to come join us on October 22. And if you won’t be in New York for CMJ, this is your cue to invite your friends who will. And best of all, like all of our events, this party is free — because, well, why not?
