Halloween should involve every one of the five sense, exploding any prior tactile, olfactory, auditory, visual and gustatory experience you have ever had. Enter Adam Aleksander Presents … Gilt City Monster Mash Party |mänstər ma sh pärtē|.
On Sunday, October 31, starting in TriBeCa, an “unexpected school bus” will be escorting you and a crowd of Halloween revelers to an abandoned school in Brooklyn. Chances are, you may be spanked on your way onto the school bus, but consider yourself lucky for the experience. The party will include church lady waitresses, mutants, an open bar and a 4 course themed dinner created by French Culinary Institute trained Ygael Tresser of La Bonne Cuisine Catering serving up only the highest quality Halloween-styled foods – eyeballs and brains, perhaps?
The open bar will be run by Mayahuel’s Mayur Subbarao and Hendrick’s Gin where they’ll serve up gin & tonic pills, liquid nitrogen dry ice cocktails and other chemistry-themed libations. 1950s style Casey Casem DJ calling out the hits and taking requests—with a special DJ mix to follow. Ontop of it all, there will be two secret performance acts and a photobooth by Ventiko with digital photos posted online – so you better be sure that you are wearing the best costume you can come up with because you will be seen (and their is a prize for best costume!).
Tickets for the event are $120 each but you have a chance to win a set for FREE through the Brooklyn365 Weekend Guide – sign up here for a chance to win. The tickets include a bus ride to abandoned school, buffet style dinner, open bar and party. Guests will get to take home a DJ mix of songs played at the event and will have access to the digital photo album of all photos taken at the party. Get them here.
